Welcome to the website of Watersportcamping De Maasterp

When you enjoy being on or near water, you will feel at home on Watersports Camping “De Maasterp” in Appeltern. It’s situated in that part of “Het Land van Maas en Waal” where the rivers “De Waal” and “De Maas” almost touch each other in the recreational area “De Gouden Ham”. This camping site is the atmospheric and sparkling centre of this unique area. You’re welcome in this special part of Holland where life is good. Hospitality and rejoicement go here side by side. 

Water and fun

“De Maasterp” is situated on a peninsula at the shores of a recreational area. This natural scenery is counts more than 4000 acres. The river “De Maas” is directly accessible per boat. “De Gouden Ham” exits out of several lochs where you can swim, sail, windsurf, fish and much more.
There is also enough space where you can relax and take a sunbathe.

Facilities

“Your home is your castle”, and that also counts for your tent or caravan on our camping site. A grocery store on the camping site and the fast-food bar will make sure you won’t get hungry. The canteen is a cosy place on “De Maasterp”. You can have some drinks at the bar or go on the World Wide Web in the internet corner.

A recreational program

Every summer we have an enthusiastic and professional recreational team that organises original activities for kids, teenagers, adults and elderly guests. For example they organise bingo’s, “De Maasterp Next Topmodel” and creativity hours for children.

Sanitary fittings

You recognise a good camping site by its sanitary fittings. There are several sanitary buildings and we also provide facilities for the disabled guests. Every sanitary building contains a baby corner.
Our washing machines and tumble-dryers will make sure that your laundry can be done during your holiday.

Enjoy the environment 

Just a mile from the camping you’ll find Moeke Mooren. There are man possibilities in this pleasure centre. You can enjoy a good dinner in Restaurant “De Gruyterij” or you can go bowling on one of the 4 modern bowling alleys. In the bowling bar you can also play 18 different Old Dutch games when the weather outside is not so good. You can also have some drinks in the cafe or on the Panorama terrace.
And there is a ship named “De Sluizer” on which you can go for a cruise. During a roundtrip you can explore “De Gouden Ham”.
You can also bring a visit to the Gardens of Appeltern, Tinsmith “`t Oude Ambacht”, Pumping-station “De Tuut”, Museum “Twee Stromenland”, or vineyard “De Kleine Heerleijkheid”.

Daytrips 

There are a couple of shopping areas in the villages Druten and Beneden-Leeuwen just 7 kilometres away from the camping site. In just a one-hour drive you can go to several big amusement parks like “De Efteling” and Safari Park “De Beekse Bergen”. Beautiful cities like Nijmegen and Den Bosch are easy to reach by car.

Almost all the spots for your tent or caravan are near the river. All year-round camping spots are connected to electricity, water, sewerage and cable tv.
